At TerrOïko, we firmly believe that a career is, above all, shaped by the people you meet and the passions you pursue.
And Christophe Plotard’s journey is a perfect example of this.
During his time at TerrOïko, Christophe served as Communications Manager, while also working with DarkSkyLab, our long-standing partner, as a Research and Web Projects Manager.
Through his various projects, and particularly his work on the Black infrastructure initiative, Christophe has developed a keen interest in light-related data, its applications, and its impact on local areas and biodiversity. It was therefore a natural progression for Christophe to leave TerrOïko and join DarkSkyLab full-time, with our full support
This development also provides an opportunity to highlight our partnership with DarkSkyLab, which has been built and strengthened over the years around the Trames Noires initiative and the challenges of light pollution. It is a partnership based on complementary expertise, dialogue, and, above all, lasting and committed human collaboration in the service of local communities and the natural world.
A big thank you to Christophe, as well as to Rolf Buhler, Sébastien Vauclair, and Philippe Deverchère, for their dedication, expertise, and the quality of the work we’ve done together on these fundamental issues.
All the best, Christophe, and see you soon on the bright (or rather… dark) paths of biodiversity!
