A few weeks ago, the PEP-BIOccIA project officially changed its name to Gaia predict.
The new name reflects the project's mission: to map natural environments, predict the presence of species in the Occitanie region, and better plan the preservation of biodiversity. The term “Gaia” refers to the Earth. As for Prédict, it underlines the project's focus on predictive analysis and decision support for the sustainable management of our biodiversity.
This name change marks a new stage in the project, and the next one will take place on Tuesday July 1 in Sorèze, to which you are all invited.
During the event organized by A-IGEco, a round table on the theme “The place of AI in the evolution of the ecological engineering sector” will highlight the project. Mathilde PINTO, present at the event, will tell you more about the project.
Here is the day's programme:
- 8.00am - 10.00am: Site visit
- 10.00 - 12.00: Round table on ‘Ecological restoration and its costs’ - organised by the UPGE (Professional Union for Ecological Engineering)
- 12:00 - 14:00: Lunch at L'Aparté
- 14.00 - 16.00: Round table ‘The role of AI in the development of the ecological engineering sector’ - organised by A-IGÉco
- 16.00 - 18.00: Round table ‘Towards the development of a centre of excellence at the source of the Canal du Midi’ - organised by A-IGEco
- 18:00 - 22:00: Coffee debate followed by a cocktail ‘Reindustrialising regions: towards the necessary integration of biodiversity’ - organised by the ARDIAC Business Club and AFIE
