Given the increasingly tight financial constraints facing local governments, one question often comes up: How can you fund your black infrastructure?
Good news: the Lum’ACTEE+ program, led by ACTEE (FNCCR), can assist you with the implementation of black infrastructure.
Specifically, Lum’ACTEE+ allows you to:
- Fund up to 50% of your studies related to street lighting and light pollution, with an additional 10% bonus if your project includes a biodiversity component!
- Implement a black infrastructure by identifying and preserving the areas most critical for nocturnal biodiversity.
It is under Lot 3 that TerrOïko can support local governments in this project:
- We assist them in developing their black infrastructure identifying areas critical to biodiversity (biodiversity hotspots, waterways, ecological corridors, barriers).
- We produce accurate and easy-to-read maps that help visualize the impact of lighting on ecological connectivity.
- We provide a clear territorial overview to help prioritize areas for action and inform local governments’ decision-making.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity: funding is available… but not enough people are applying for it.
