TerrOïko renews its commitment to the UPGE!
We are pleased to announce the renewal of our membership in the UPGE (Professional Union of Ecological Engineering), an association that brings together stakeholders committed to the recognition and development of ecological engineering in France.
The UPGE now comprises more than a hundred professionals who work every day to promote ecosystem resilience and build the ecological engineering sector.

A look back at the 2026 World Impact Summit!
We spent two enriching and inspiring days at Paris Porte de la Villette, discussing concrete solutions to promote biodiversity and the natural world.
A big thank you to everyone who came to meet us—local governments, developers, engineering firms, and companies committed to nature.
We were delighted to present MyNature, our tool designed to assess biodiversity challenges at the site level, with the aim of prioritizing actions and better integrating biodiversity into the decisions made by local stakeholders.

In this rainy month of February, Catherine de Roincé, director of TerrOïko, was invited to speak to third-year students in the Applied Sciences and Technologies for Nature program at MFR VALRANCE.

It’s today! TerrOïko at the World Impact Summit
The World Impact Summit kicks off today, and TerrOïko will be there for two days of discussions focused on concrete solutions for the living world.
A chapter closes… and a new one begins
At TerrOïko, we firmly believe that a career is, above all, shaped by the people you meet and the passions you pursue.
And Christophe Plotard’s journey is a perfect example of this.
During his time at TerrOïko, Christophe served as Communications Manager, while also working with DarkSkyLab, our long-standing partner, as a Research and Web Projects Manager.

We are thrilled to announce that TerrOïko will be participating in the World Impact Summit on February 5 and 6 at Porte de la Villette (Paris).
Come visit us at STAND A11, located within the Ecolab – Greentech Innovation area.
This will be an opportunity to introduce you to MyNature, our solution that enables any landowner to assess the biodiversity challenges within their portfolio, prioritize sites for action, and identify the most impactful measures for biodiversity conservation.
TerrOïko in 2025: a year full of projects, innovation, and a commitment to the natural world.
The year 2025 was a particularly busy one for TerrOïko. We conducted 46 studies, supported 30 regions across France, and collaborated with numerous stakeholders to place biodiversity at the heart of decision-making and projects. These initiatives reflect our commitment to turning scientific knowledge into concrete action.
Our work has encompassed a wide range of projects: 13 Black Grid projects, 16 Green and Blue Grid projects, 4 ERC strategies, as well as studies on 3 transportation infrastructure projects and 3 renewable energy projects.
We mentioned it when the SimOïko winners were announced in December 2024... Today, we're focusing on the project led by Virgile Baudrot!
Virgile uses SimOïko as part of SPACEMOD, an ambitious research project funded by ADEME (IMPACTS 2023 program) and coordinated by the University of Burgundy Franche-Comté.
This project (2024–2028) aims to develop a spatially explicit tool for modeling the transfer and impact of chemical mixtures in food webs for the purpose of ecosystem risk assessment (ERA) and the remediation of polluted sites and soils (SSP) and, more generally, any type of site contaminated by chemicals.
It was a few days ago, and it's still a moment we love!
After three years of work, our colleague Léa Pautrel defended her doctoral thesis in ecology at the University of Montpellier last week. She conducted her research at TerrOïko in partnership with the Center for Functional and Evolutionary Ecology (CEFE).
