This is a recurring question when discussing ecological modeling: Can we trust digital tools to realistically represent the processes at work in nature?
In other words, are these methods (and the results they produce) reliable enough to inform decisions that support biodiversity?

We expected 2024 to be an intense year for us in terms of research. And we were right.
For the fourth time in a year, we are starting a new research project.
Called OptiBioNum, it has been selected by the FEREC Corporate Foundation as part of its annual call for projects.
It aims to provide tools to guide building and infrastructure designers in optimizing the ability of their structures to host biodiversity.
As part of the OptiBioNum research project that is about to get underway, we are recruiting a BIM coordinator intern to work on integrating ecological performance indicators into digital models of buildings and territories.
